Tim Schilcher

Myofitness Owner & Personal Trainer

My Name is Tim Schilcher, President of MyoFitness Personal Training. I have over 20 years experience and I am certified through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). I am also a Physical Therapy Technician, but have performed all the services that a PT Assistant would do.

I’m a Nurse Assistant with a certification from Harmarville Training Institute. I worked as a Physical Therapy Tech. for three years at S.H.O.R.E in the South Hills; I continued my education at Gannon University, where I received a B.S degree in Science and Pre-Physical Therapy.

I was accepted into the Masters program at Gannon, but withdrew from the program with two minor health classes left. I withdrew from the program because I realized that completing the program wasn't the route to fulfilling my dream.

Kiyla Kitty

Personal Trainer

Kiyla has been practicing the movement arts for over 20 years. She enjoys sharing her passions for movement exploration, human anatomy, holistic/green living and eclectic music. Kiyla's fitness endeavors began in 2006 when she was gifted with a handmade adult sized hoola hoop. The infinite possiblities for dance, movement and meditation within the hoop entranced her and she was reconnected with her inner child.

Dancing will always be an emotive outlet for Kiyla. This outlet led her to begin exploring how emotions and mindfulness interact with the body. Soon after being introduced to her more playful self, Kiyla, discovered Pilates. When she attended her first Pilates class she immediately recognized how similar it was to her childhood dance background. An instant love for Pilates developed and Kiyla decided to leave her job as an accounting assistant in order to become a Pilates instructor.

The challenge of Pilates lies in its principles; it is Kiyla's pleasure to coach and witness the willpower, progress and transformation that takes place throughout a regular Pilates practice. The overall positive results help to physically demonstrate that mind and body are explicitly connected. Pilates is the most essential method that Kiyla uses to help empower her clients in developing a mind/body connection and balanced lifestyle. Kiyla constantly strives to learn all she can about integrative fitness modalities, subtle energy systems and food based healing so that she can pursue her calling to sustainably and positively influence her community and everyone with whom she comes in contact.

Certifications:

  • HoopGirl, Inc.: Hoop Dance Teacher
  • Half Moon: Pilates Mat Instructor
  • Balanced Body University: Pilates Reformer Level 1-3
  • TRX Suspension Training: TRX Trainer & Affiliate

Rachel Beswarick

Rachel was born and raised here in the Pittsburgh area where she began dancing at a young age. After dancing all through her childhood and teen years and even returning to dance as an adult, her passion for the art form led to a quest for a fitness regimen that would incorporate the fun and freedom of dancing with an intense full-body workout. After one Zumba class, she was hooked!

She has been attending and teaching Zumba classes ever since. Since becoming licensed in Zumba, Rachel has also trained in several other dance-based fitness programs, as well as Pilates Mat and Reformer and SilverSneakers Muscular Strength & Range of Motion (MSROM). Rachel believes in bringing dance and fitness to everyone. All you have to do is “Join the Party”!!

Sarah Hummel

Director of Yoga

Sarah Hummel began practicing yoga in 2004 to look for a way to relax, deal with stress, and build mental and physical strength. Sarah practiced several different styles of yoga over the course of six years.

In 2010 Sarah found herself in a power vinyassa yoga studio and that is when she had her “ah ha!” moment. From that moment Sarah began her dedication to yoga. Yoga has changed her life for the better and has helped Sarah find inner strength and peace as well as increasing strength and flexibility. Sarah became a certified yoga instructor in 2010 through Karen Conley, specializing in power vinyassa flow.

She has also attended other trainings to increase her knowledge and practice including training with Greghor Singleton. Sarah became an instructor to share the practice of yoga with others.
